The Australian Youth Mentoring Network is a national hub for youth mentoring research, tools and resources. The Australian Youth Mentoring Network aims to work with interested youth mentoring organisations and practitioners to foster the growth and development of high quality mentoring programs for young people in Australia by providing a national base of collaboration, support, guidance and expertise.

Try’aTrade Croc Skills

An engaging and simple activity involving schools, community and skilled workers in providing hands on ‘Try’aTrade’ opportunities. Includes an overview of a project and a “How-To” manual.

Skills Across the World

Showcases projects undertaken by young skills teams working with local communities in Zimbabwe, East Timor, Kenya and Cape York and gives a feel for the realities on the ground for organisations and individuals wishing to do something similar.

National Youth Commitment

The National Youth Committment was about guaranteeing that all young people have access to Year 12 or its equivalent or a job with training. Six partnerships were established between 1999 and 2001 to explore the capacity of local communities to deliver a Youth Commitment.

Digital Storytelling Campfires

We’ve developed a series of digital storytelling campfires – workshops aimed at building a network of Australian place-based community-led evaluators, communicators and storytellers that share, learn, and connect around system change storytelling and are supported to address the opportunities and challenges of communicating collective, long-term stories of change.

Bi-cultural education expands in west Arnhem Land

From a one-teacher classroom to three independent registered schools – the Nawarddeken Academy is now operating its unique bi-cultural education in three communities in remote west Arnhem Land.

Dusseldorp Forum acknowledges the First Peoples of Australia and the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we work and live.
We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to Elders past, present and future.
